This workshop gives participants key skills necessary to manage and lead change effectively. There is equal focus on the need to manage and lead the process AND the human aspects of change initiatives.

Managing and leading Change 
 

 LEARNING OUTCOMES;

 

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

 

  • Explored and understood organisational reasons for change

 

  • Knowledge and understanding of commonly used change process models and tools

 

  • Understood the human responses to change and techniques for managing and leading change at each stage of response

  • Practical tools to help implement change

 

KEY LEARNING UNITS

 

Understanding change –

Defining and understanding organisational change. Exploring types of change and different impacts. Exploring a variety of change process tools and models.

Responses to change –Examining the human change response curve.

 

The change response curve –

A more specific analysis of these changes, in relation to performance over time, and looking at the symptoms and specific behaviours shown at these times. A video study of these responses, used to highlight effects of change in an innovative and effective way. Centred around self-evaluation and perception of others, with clear guidelines on how to elicit a change in behaviour.

 

 Managing and leading change –

Leading team members through change. Personal insights from a ‘change agent’ – tools, techniques, practices, tips and hints.
